Programme divided into 11 modules and multiple-choice assessments covering such aspects as governance architecture, governance handbook, reporting, role of the director and non-executive director, board culture, strategy, risk, evaluating performance, interpretation of financial statements.
This diploma course will show you how boards function including the format of effective board meetings, it will prepare you for being an impactful board member, it will strengthen your risk evaluation skills and teach how to mitigate risks, it will introduce you to the ongoing and changing ethical issues and show how apply them to a modern board, it will provide you with the skills to evaluate a board in instance of thinking of joining one.

Learning format
This diploma course is offered in 3 formats:
- self-pace 100% online (you have up to 6 months to complete the course),
- part-time requiring 3 hours of live classes per week and 3 hours of self-study per week (it takes 11 weeks to complete the diploma),
-full time, 1 week of classes conducted online through Zoom, Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm.
Depending on the delivery method, start dates may slightly differ.
What you can expect in the class is pre-recorded sessions delivered by company directors, who will share their experiences and learnings with you. The case studies are real-world, which you can bring into your world. Apart from the videos and case studies, world-class leadership and governance webinars are delivered during Lunch & Learn sessions where real-world challenges are being shared that students can directly learn from.
Entry requirements
Even though there are no formal entry requirements, this diploma course has been designed and is delivered by directors and governance professionals for directors. A candidate for a diploma needs to prove solid prior experience to understand programme content and be in a position to actively participate in class discussions with other senior executives and directors.
